“You will keep him in perfect
peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3
It's an amazing
promise that we're given – perfect peace. The condition? A mind
that stayed on the Lord. I remember the first time I took this verse
to heart and was amazed. There are so many things to be worried
about, discouraged by and whereby we can be tossed in confusion, yet
God simply reminds us that we are abe to have perfect peace
with a mind stayed on Him. Why? Because God is someone who knows all
that is happening around us, the things we control and may fail at,
and the things outside of our control. With these things, He is
ultimately in control and told us He has a perfect plan; therefore,
we can rest in Him through trusting. Furthermore, “He is our
peace”. As believers who are in Christ – He is the Peace in
us; and this is something we deeply sense and feel when we dwell on
Him.
